Speeding up Archicad

I'm finding Archicad is slowing down considerably.

As an example: It's taking 10sec to switch between View Maps, some are taking longer, and 20sec for Archicad to update a layout.

The main model has a hotlink to a "Site Model" but the layer containing the hotlink is switched off in most View Maps.

I do have many layers, about 160 layers. Some are just due to having imported some DXF drawings and surveys, but I'm not sure how to trim them down without "breaking" many of the View maps I already have.

The main model is 493'765 KB

The hotlinked site model is 145'145 KB

My PC spec is in my signature.

What can I do to speed up the model?

It would probably be best for you to contact your local reseller so they can investigate. They may be able to help you pinpoint the source of these slowdowns.
