Transparent Zones in Section

Gisele

The Zone in section is transparent: it does not hide the cut elements (when I move it up it does not hide the cut roof) but it hides the uncut elements (like the windows).  See Attached screenshot.

Activate opacity in section options

Hi Gisele,

Here is one solution.

Turn on Transparency in the Section Viewpoint  and use a Graphic Override:

You may already have a Graphic Override to "Hide Zone Colors" in plan for CDs. if so, simply update it to override the section surface with a custom color (maybe start with “Glass - Clear Fast” and then modify it with 100% Transparency).
This allows the Zone to remain in section so that it can be selected or labeled, without blocking the view. It also allows the Zones to use surface colors in 3D that match the Zone Category colors used in plan or section, when desired.
