Can someone verify that you can stretch witness lines in R17-3013 US. I am apparently unable to do it.

You must have the dimension tool active then select the node (it can be activated after you select the node as well).
Then click on the main dimension line to bring up the pet palette.

All working fine for me with latest upgrade on PC.

Right, Barry. Thanks for pitching in, but my problems aren't user error, as I've been using 17 since its release and this has just recently come to pass. Pretty frustrating, too.

dbl click the dim chain and pallet opens now with 5014 to adjust length of witness lines in the chain.

But can you adjust witness lines individually ?

Not if you double click on the Dim Line.

so are you saying there is a way to adjust a single witness line?

How?

Got it. Thanks. It is a little awkward but it works. I like the way you can just click on the dim line again and stretch the witness line to a new spot if you like before the tool is closed. It would be great if a node at the end of the witness line would show while this is being done.

It's really only awkward because the old method was so ingrained in us. It actually works well--when it actually works! It's been working for me at a higher percentage the last few days. Very odd that it's so sporadic.

There is a rubber band-like line that pops up to indicate your adjustment.

It would be better if it were not the same indicator for adjusting all of the witness lines as for an individual witness line.

It would also be nice if we could adjust selected witness lines rather than just one or all witness lines in a chain.

I do like the ability to work my way along the dimension chain adjusting the witness lines individually with out having to reactivated the tool each time.
