how do you up to date your drawings?
from plotmaker publishing PDF to your clients or engineers, but every time the drawings changed from AC, do you save to another file to keep record and create another file?

It is a question of princips…

If you want to be clear with your clients or engineers, IMHO you MUST change the name of the file and put an indice —it is better with a description of the changes— at each "external" diffusions.
With this practice, you can call your partner and speak about of the "F" or the "G" version of your project and speak of the same things.
You can also create an historic of your diffusions —if necessary…—

If you want to be "chic" you can also archiv the ArchiCAD file "origin" of your indice. You can then recreate another particular diffusion of your indice.

Some other remarks.

— For engineers, I generaly use the dwg format which allows to work again on the file and which allows him to return me his layers which I integrate in my file.

—For client, we use generaly pdf format —which needs only Acrobat Reader free software— but which is not precise in the event of important zoom.
But more and more we prefer to use the dwf format with "project reviewer" which allows when one sends with his viewer an excellent quality at the time of important zoom and the possibility of visualizing or not the layers of ArchiCAD.
