What is the best way to get a work document into Plotmaker 3.1?
I have tried copy and paste. Does not really work.
It brings text in in odd groups of words but not really uses full.

is pdf and option?

(I'm assuming 'work' document means Word)

Did you try importing the .doc file straight into PM?

It works well for me and when changes are made to the Word file it shows up in Plotmaker.

Importing Word documents does not work in OSX.

unfortunately this isn't available as a feature on a mac at present - requires the OLE support only found on windows machines.

it would be nice to live-link word and excel files though, graphisoft?

Its a multipage word document that i need to bring into a plotmaker layout.

Apparently Microsoft haven't released the appropiate details so in can't be incorporated into the Mac OSX

My work around is to create a PDF, then in preview export it as aPNG type file and place that into plotmaker.

The trick is to "up" the resolution and you do that by setting the size in your page setup to about 200%. it will import into plotmaker at 72 dpi so you can then shrink it to give a resolution of about 150 which prints fine.

has anyone tried office 2004? I'm wondering if the OLE support exists yet. What version of OLE support does plotmaker have? According to Microsoft Mactopia page:

if plotmaker supports OLE version 2.0, it should work? has anybody tried 2004 yet?
