Zone schedule insertion workflow

Hi!

Im trying to insert a zone schedule in my layouts. I have some questions regarding the proper way to do it.

1. The way i was doing it (which had normal outcome) was dragging from the  "Project Map" schedule menu straight to the layout. The outcome was fine, but I started noting that every schedule i would insert would show up at the bottom of my "View map", and that didnt seem like a proper organization. (see pictures)

2. Then i tried dragging and dropping from the Schedule menu located at the "View Map" menu, but then the result was crazy: The schedule would only show me info from the 1st floor..?!? The formatting of the schedule is very simple, i just have Criteria grabbing zones...

What am i doing wrong? what is the natural workflow?

Cheers,

Z

I'm on a roll today (Friday afternoon here, raining outside, so not really productivity-inducing:)!). I can't reproduce your issue and I have no idea what the correct workflow is, but what I do is I have a folder called Schedules in the View Map, not a shortcut as you have. All saved views of my schedules are in there and they never move after I place them on the layout sheets.

Not sure that helps or solves the problem tho.

yes you are! 🙂

Regarding the SCHEDULES folder you have: did you create a folder called "schedules" in the view map and imported those schedules from the "project map"?

Yes, I opened the schedule from Project Map, saved it as a View in View Map (that way you can control layer combo, GO, etc). Then in the View Map I created all those folders and moved the saved views in their respective folders. If you have the Schedule as a docked tab, if you right click on the tab name you get a pop up window with a few options, one of them Save As View... as one way to save a view.
