door schedule colors

HAve generated a door schedule; doors show up with the surface material. How can I get them to show up only in black and white outlines? The colored doors are custom door leafs created with those colors since one can't change materials in the door dialogue box with custom doors. The criteria is 3D front view. Have also tried view from reveal side and view from opening side but they also come in with colors. The other doors have white paint as their material which explains why they look white.

So once again....how can I get them to show up in outline with no colors? If I place the schedule and print it I'm pretty sure the door will show up as a black square. Thanks Tom

You need to use a Graphic Override that includes the rule to make "all fill backgrounds - transparent".
That rule should exist as default (I think) but if it doesn't then just create a new rule and set the fill background pen to transparent.

Does not seem to work. Might it be because the doors with color are custom leafs? See pic below.

Is that rule used in the Grapic Override that is saved with the view for the schedule?
If not then every time you activate that schedule view, you are turning the rule off.

yes, its saved in the view.

Odd.
The only difference I can see is my GO is not overriding the foreground fill or the surface - but that shouldn't be the problem.

I did notice you have to close and re-open the schedule or force a 'Build and Regenerate' in the schedule to see the change if the schedule is still open in the tab.

Did that too. Have sent n email to support. Maybe it’s a bug.
Am assuming it works for you? It happens on any door leaf with any surface material.

Yes, all seems to be working fine for me.
I have even tried with a custom door leaf in versions 20 and 22.


I notice your door frames seem to be transparent - it is just the door leafs not behaving?
The only thing is I don't use the default GS door objects.
Just tried a default template and it works there too.

But I did notice the schedule GO also had a "Cover fills - transparent" rule.
Did the slabs you created the doors from have a cover fill?

I just quickly tested that by removing the rule and it didn't make any difference - it all still worked OK.

Well, it seemed logical. Still not working for me. See the pic below. When I created the custom leaf I did use generic exterior material, override surface with the the material needed. I also checked the slab with which I made the door....I did not have a cover fill checked.

These are typical GS door objects that I'm using.

Any other ideas? Haven't heard anything back from GS support yet. Thanks Tom
