Have you applied a cover fill to the beam (assuming you have used a beam for the horizontal elements). There will be a tick box in the properties of the beam where you can switch it on and define the fill to use for the cover fill.

Check the Uncut Elements settings in the Elevation Settings Dialog. Is the "Surface - Cover Fill Foreground" option checked?

Try changing the "Fill Uncut Surfaces with" field to an option that displays the Fills.
