label tool and grid lines in axonometric view

hello, I have a beautiful axonometric saved as a view, and wish to label some elements in it, but the label tool appears grayed out ... is there a there a turnaround to this ?

any advice is welcomed.

Operating system used: Windows 22H2

You can not annotate in a 3D view.

You can save the 3D view as a 3D Document and then you can annotate there.
