Is there any way to get a "plus or minus" symbol into a text string?

(Mac 10.3.1, G5, Archicad 8.1)

Thanks!

A Maccer will probably answer soon.

On the PC, it is ALT 0177, as says the Character Map.

On the Mac for most fonts: Opt/Shift/=
Key Caps will show all available symbols for a given font.

Sorry... Key Caps is an application that is included with the OS that maps the available characters for various key combinations. Find it at APPLICATIONS/UTILITIES/KEY CAPS.

In Panther, they removed Key Caps and put the functionality into 'Keyboard Viewer', which can accessed from the little flag on the menu bar once you:

Go System Preferences | International | Input Menu tab. Check 'Keyboard Viewer' and (at the bottom) 'Show input menu in menu bar'.

Don't forget the new character palette, also under the flag (international) menu. It shows all the possible characters in every font. It's very cool and I haven't seen anything quite like it before.
