Hello everyone,
I have a sliding door in a facade where the glass should be visibly shaded blue in the detailed model 2D representation. Unfortunately, it is not possible to set the door in the model view so that the centre line in the glass is hidden and the blue is clearly visible.
Is there a way to change this in the gdl 2D script that you only have two outer lines and not an additional one in the centre of the glass?
Thanks in advance

That is not really a good idea.
I am sure it can be done, and the line for the glass will be buried deep in a macro somewhere the draws the glass panel.
But you will need to extract the LCF first (and if 28 extract the Global Library Pack before you can do that).
Then find and alter the macro.
Then recreate the LCF and Library Pack.
But now if the library is ever updated you will have to do this all over again.
You could re-name the macro, but then you would have to edit every window that calls that macro and re-save and re-name each window as well.
Now they will not update if the library is updated.
This means you will still have control of the glass line, but you can never use an updated version of the library.
You just can't win in my opinion.
In the Model View Options, you can turn of the glass line, but it also simplifies the sashes as well.
I don't use those window objects at all, but I just had a look at them.
It seems there is no pen control for the individual lines, only for the fill foreground and background colours of the window, frame and sash.
So unless someone else has a solution, I would say it can't be done.
Unless you want to do the highly un-recommended GDL editing.
Or find an 3rd party window object that gives you the control you want.
All I can suggest is to set your window cut line pen to one that is thinner, so it does not print so thick.
Or edit the actual pen in the pen set so you don't have to amend every object.
This may have its own problems though.
Barry.

Can you not shade the simplified MVO? Which door is this? Could you change the Glass Pen to a thinner one, or a colour that matches your fill? Modifying the scripts of GS doors and windows is VERY complicated and you may run into issues when there are library updates.
Also, please add a signature to your profile with your AC version as well as some basic computer specs to get better help on this forum as some issues and resolutions are version or OS specific.
