In Archicad it jumps when I move in any direction.
It works fine in Rhino, Sketchup and also in the 3Dconnexion 3d model test.
It doesn't depend on the detail of the model.
See the link of the video attached.
As you can see in the video the ucs reference compares during the visualization because the moving is interrupted and the result is a no smooth experience. The model is a cube in wireframe.
I'm not able to open the Radial Menu (RM Menu) using the 3Dconnexion buttons.
Tested in AC 24, 23, 20 with the same issue.
I tried to work on many setting without any improvement:
- Application - open low resolution
- Reduce all the option in Open GDL
- Reduce all the option in Work Environment
- Reduce the window
- Reduce monitor resolution.
- Change Overall speed in 3Dconnexion ARCHICAD setting
- Connect directly the mouse with the cable without the wireless
- Type in Monitor the code "sudo killall -STOP -c usbd" to avoid problem in USB alimentation
- Turn off internet connection
- Turn off other software
- Turn off spyware software
- Remove other USB Device
Someone else had the same problem?

The problem continue to persist in Archicad 27.
To quikly test it doesn't work you can try to visualize the palette of the 3dmouse using the right click of the mouse. It doesn't appear.
Boh!

I'm in the beta and tech preview cohort for 27 and brought up the issues with the 3DConnexion devices. They said it's on the to-do list; let's see what happens!

after updating the spacemouse driver to the latest version (released in January, 2024) I was hoping the spacemouse would work in Archicad 27 for Mac. Unfortunately the same glitchy movement is still happening. Now the spacemouse has released a new driver is Graphisoft going to address the issue from the ArchiCAD side?

I have had issues for years now and have given up on Graphisoft ever fixing anything related to the 3D connexion devices.
I've reached out to them countless times and have gotten the same response: we're working on it. It never happens. It's been years. The issues are on GS side not 3D connexion's side, I've established that with GS tech support a while ago.

Try disabling Options/Work Enviroment/Selection and Element Information/Enable element Info Tag.
I think there is problem on Graphisoft side.

Thank you for your suggestion.
Unfortunatlly the problem is not in the setting.
You can reduce the problem with some tricks but without eliminating it.
The problem is at the origin; the clue is that the buttons of the 3d Mouse don't work. This means that there is an other priority to manage the 3d model.
Please Graphisoft, solve it.

I use a 3d connexion cad mouse for about 2 years now, windows 11.
The radial menu button does work, but I almost never use it. Moving the model works as it should, I use "object mode" only.
The only thing I can complain about is the scroll wheel, which started to behave erratic.
Asking the web told me this is a common problem with the scroll wheel contacts. Need to spray some contact cleaner in there.
But you all have my full support at complaining to GS! They need to fix this for Mac users ASAP - within current Archicad 27 version!!

I've just got my Space Mouse Wireless and tried it with Archicad versions 27 & 28 on macOS. Navigating works reasonably well, buttons don't at all.

Angel, welcome to our struggle and our pain. I have had this issue for several years and can confirm it is a Graphisoft implementation issue. I used to file support tickets and was told they would be addressed in the next version. They never were, so after a few years, I gave up. Unless you become friends with an archicad engineer or find some way to push them on this, it will never get resolved.

Hi Narska,
I sent a support ticket to the swiss reseller IDC. They didn’t know the mouse I was talking about and they suggested a tip for the apple mouse… 🤷🏻
