3d View when rotating gets "scrambled"...horizonta

Found this regarding ver. 10.....this pretty much describes the issue we're having with 1 workstation in version 9. Has anyone experienced this king of problem? Any tips for a fix would be greatly appreciated. I will try to get a screen dump to clarify.

Thanks in advance.

After quickly toggling from 3D window Orbit mode to 2D window, 3D and 2D display become strange. For example, rubber band does not appear when drawing in 2D, or strange lines appear in 3D window.

This is an issue with your graphics card and/or driver, not ArchiCAD.

Please post info on your machine: windows or mac, which graphics card, how much memory it has if nothing below helps.

If you are on Mac, then run software update to make sure you have applied all firmware and software updates. If on Windows, you'll have to go to the manufacturer's web site to see if there is a newer driver.

If Windows, this setting may be the problem:

This issue occurs on a Windows XP Pro, SP2, Pentium 4, 3.2, 2 GIGs RAM running a Quadro FX3400 video card. We have 3 machines all with the same hardware specs and this issue only occurs on one of them.

Same hardware specs, but what about the display driver version on each machine? And, did you check the technote linked below?

I did make sure that all machines were running the same version driver for the video prior to posting. I did however, update the offending box to the latest and greatest video driver as well as using the turn off vertical sync as suggested. It is now a wait and see......
