AC 17 EDU Installtation stops at 71% at GSShellX64.dll

Hi, For last few months I struggle with the following problem.

The installation process stops at 71% at the GSShellX64.dll file. I can only turn it of by the Windows Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del) When I then try to start AC form Menu Start it starts but only in demo mode even if I have pasted my serial number.

I have the newest Java
AntiVirus is turned off
I run the installation as Admin

I beg you for help. As for now nothing works...

Many times the following worked:

Uninstall all Java from your computer. Then (probably after a restart) install ArchiCAD and it will install the Java it needs for its installation, and install itself. After it is finished you can reinstall the Java you previously uninstalled, if you need it.

Thanks for the answer, I will try that option.
Another problem is that there is no uninstall option for AC nowhere and I don't wnat to delete files manualy form programfiles...
Any ideas?

The reason there is no uninstall info in the system is because the installation was not successful in the first place. I think you just have to delete those files and retry the installation. Or you can rename the folder to something else until you can do a successful installation and delete them afterwards.

This is normal. ArchiCAD did not complete all install processes.
Just repeat the install.

Which one?
Uninstalling Java and using the Java that comes with the installation?
Or deleting the files in the install folder?

Do both steps discussed in this thread:
1. Uninstall all versions of Java, then restart, just to make sure.
2. Delete the folder of the unsuccessful installation, or rename it.
3. Repeat the install, let it install the Java on the install DVD, then carry on with the installation.
