AC 8r3v3 Crashed

I start to have problems with elevation/section because doesn't show some walls. After that AC start to crash almost every time I try to see an elevation/section. I found something in ArchiGuide about ArchiCAD Temporary Folder was very little free space available, but I don't know where is that file and what can I do to reduce the size of it.

You can't really change the size of the temporary folder but you can change the location of it.

In Teamwork files, the MINIMUM amount of free space for your temporary folder (swap file) is >= the working .PLP file size.

And if you are close to that - I would suggest a major hard drive cleanout or buy yourself another drive.

If you have multiple drives already - assign the temporary folder to the one with the most free-space.

You can't, you can only increase the free space on your disk, or specify another location (disk) for your Temp file, where you have enough free space.

OSs today require as much as 2GB FREE just for themselves.

BTW - which OS, which ArchiCAD?

Well, this is getting complicated. My Archicad Temporary size is 3.80MB and the properties tool said I got 3.82MB size on disk. But the truth is that I have 16G free on disk.
I try all computers at the office and the problem still here. Then I log as an administrator trying to see if was a security access problem due to some changes the Administrator was doing at server and nothing.
I don't understand why I have to change this file to another volume when I have enough room in the PC and in the server too. Anyway I set the Preferences to put the file on my desktop to see what happened .... nothing

Try creating a "Virtual Volume" on your computer.

There used to be an archiguide article on this:

Hmmmm ... first, Windows Server is not the best option.

Second, what is the setting for your Windows temp file? Max it out at 4GB - AFAIR ArchiCAD uses the lowest value, which is by default 768MB, for its temping. Very easy to max out on.

Ok, I create the volume as you said and also found an error in one object could maybe be the reason to crash the program. Last friday this message show before crashed again: "Warning! Not enough memory to cut 3D model. (error code 325)".

Now you will have to find out which Object or Element is causing the crash.

You could try moving the section cut-line around to isolate different elements/objects. You could isolate objects by switching Layers on and off. You could Select individual objects to view in 3D...

You could send a .PLA of the file to GS Tech Support and let them take a look at it.
