AC14 OS 10.6.7 - Fonts Changing Size in Layout

AC14 build = 3636

After the last update to Mac OS 10.6.7 I found out that the text for "Layout Number" using "NCS Drawing Title 2 14" changes size automatically.

If it is the first time you open AC the text is one size.
If you close AC and reopen it the size shrinks.

If you try to edit only that text in the title by selecting all the drawings using "Drawing Manager" then AC also changes the length parameter, position and alignment of all the titles. In this project I already have more 200 drawings which presents a problem when trying to fix the problem globally.

Seems to be an osx 10.6.7 problem affecting a lot of people, I have different but related problems after upgrade - workaround proposed by some is downgrade to 10.6.6

Thanks for the suggestion,

It might be Apple's fault but it is not affecting the size of the font in other areas of Archicad were I am using the same font. This is not the only Open Type Font I am using in that project.

In our case, it is no printing from ArchiCAD or ArchiCAD generated pdfs - pdfs display correctly with Prview, Acrobat, Skim, but will not print. All our notes, text, titles etc are made with Open Type Fonts. I hope Apple fixes this soon.

Several sources confirm a bug in the 10.6.7 system update with Open Type Fonts. Here is a good review:
http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-20048314-263.html

This seems to affect output too, meaning that PDFs saved from ArchiCAD may not open on Windows, and may not print.

Apparently the workaround is to either use non-open type fonts or re-installing the system and installing 10.6.6 update (omitting 10.6.7)

Besides the windows problem I can confirm that it is also causing problems with other Preview in other Macs if they do not have that font installed.

I summed up what we currently know of this issue here:

I'm not getting any of my fonts to print after updating to 10.6.7.
