AC29 mac Icons appear truncated

Hi, I recently installed AC29 (build 3100 INT FULL) on a mac mini with M2 pro and OS 13.7.8 and the icons on the elements settings appear truncated like in the screenshot

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi, 

I have the same problem. Only solution change the monitor resolution. Graphisoft says Apple messed something up, while Apple says it was Graphisoft.

Hi, I’ve been in contact with Graphisoft before and received this message from them:

"As previously indicated, the error can be traced back to changes in macOS.

This means it likely occurred due to changes within the development environment. The development team has not been able to clearly reproduce the error.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a full solution to the problem at this time.

If the misaligned icons are causing significant usability issues, there are two possible workarounds:

1. Use a resolution where the misalignment does not occur.

2. Use a previous version of Archicad where the problem does not yet exist.

Of course, if we receive similar bug reports from other users and the issue becomes reproducible, the development team will fix it. Until then, we ask for your patience.

The funny thing is, AC28 works perfectly… so why doesn't AC29? No comment.

Well the only thing I can say, especially regarding reply n.2 is... are they kidding us???

Hi,

I have a partial solution.

1. Make sure not a single AC (Assetto Corsa / ArchiCAD) is running.
2. Step back one resolution level in the display settings.
3. Launch the AC. The icons should look fine now.
4. Restore your original default resolution, and the AC icons should remain correct.
5. IMPORTANT: If you launch another AC with the default resolution, its icon settings will be broken again.

This is what we have so far; Graphisoft doesn't seem willing to fix the problem.

If you have an M2 (pro) chip - why are you running the ancient (2022 release) Ventura (13.7.8)?  Don't expect a recent release like AC 29 to run on an old macOS.   macOS updates are free...

Also, 3100 is the initial release ... update AC 29 to the most current update (29.2.1 build 5101 as of today) to get all of the bug fixes.

Please, for any software, never report a "bug" or issue if you do not have (1) the latest update to the software and (2) the latest OS.   Such a report is meaningless.

It doesn’t matter how new the OS is or which AC29 version you are running, the bug is still there... just a simple question: why doesn't this bug exist under AC28?
