Just installed the latest hotfix (4001). Opened our template file and my timer got to 18:10 before I killed the process. Stuck on updating Lib data. It was slow before but now it's just ridiculous.

I now get this when I try to open a 28 file. Hmmmm

That 'Downloading' message - 'updating local library data'.
Has this anything to do with teamwork?
Do you need to also update BIMcloud?
Or is there a problem with these local libraries?
I have no idea as I don't use it.

Also do you mean hotfix 3001?

Hi Baz,
We don't use TW. irc BIMcloud is no longer required to be the same version as AC but I'll get IT to update BIM as well, just in case. Our setup is all our Libs (3) are loaded from BIMcloud (basic). CAD files are kept on local server. I've got a feeling the update didn't install correctly so starting from scratch as a clean slate to see if there's any improvement. Nope def comes up as 4001 but I'll check again

Yeah, sorry I was looking at the main download page instead of update page.

I just installed 4001 and have no problem opening my template or the default Graphisoft template.
But then I don't use BIMcloud for my libraries.
So I am pretty sure that is the issue.

I suspect it's not the AC28 hotfix but the Library update 2 which runs as an installer (.exe) I've done a fresh install of everything and still can't open prior AC28 files. I'll re-install with hotfix only, no Library update and see if that works

I haven't installed the library updates because I only use select parts of the Garphisoft Library.
I wouldn't have thought it would make much difference though, as it is simply updated library packs.
However, if you are using BIMcloud to share the library, then the BIMcloud and local library will need to be updated as well.
Maybe it is that that is taking a lot of time?
Once done it should be fine - but as I mentioned I have no real idea as I don't use BIMcloud.
But libraries shouldn't cause a 'can't read plan' error if you are still getting that.
