Archicad blinking when I switch between 2d and 3d view

I am not sure it is normal or not, when I switch between 2D and 3D view. The 2D view always blink like I attach video.

Anyone can help me with that ?

I have the same problem since 26 when the rendering engine changed.

I ve tested everything and still this flashing is there. It is like refreshing 2d is problematic.

I had contacted my local reseller but fidn t got any answer.

If there are any other users with same behaviour please post.

Never bothered me, but it makes the same thing here too in the two computers where I usually run Archicad. Both have NVIDIA cards and Windows 10.

This is not happening just between floorplan and 3d. It happens between any kind of view (section to section, section to elevation, 3d to section etc).

Using a 4K monitor just to have several tabs open becomes frustrating when moving between tabs and having this refreshing blinking.

With the previous rendering API this wasnt happening. So this should be considered for sure a mulfunction/bug in the rendering process of 2d.

I have uploaded two videos. The first one is with the default setting of the rednering API in the registry (DirectX). You can see the blinking.

In the second video I have reverted to the OpenGL via the registry. BLINKING IS GONE.

I had also described this in a previous post which I had forwarded it to the local reseller and asked for support. I am sure this was forwarded to the DEV's but I got no official response so far.

Greetings to all.

So sad. The more Archicad update , the worse Archicad are.

@Mats Knutsson  Thanks for bringing this up again.

I still cannot understand why there is no official response to this defect which is so annoying!!!!

Got the same issue in Archicad 29 Edu-Version.

If anyone might point me in the direction what to change in the registry to stop the "blinking", that would be greatly appreciated.

Blinking is here to stay as a by-product of the DirectX transition.

It s not just edu versions.

At least for windows.I do not know about mac version though.

It is a disappointment that it is not declared as a bug by the devs.
