Arrow tool in 3D mode (stuck on Orbit)

When I am viewing my model in 3d it initally opens with the cursor as the "arrow" tool. This works fine and I can select and delete or modify parts of my building as normal. I can also then switch to "orbit" and rotate around my building. The problem comes when I try to return to the "arrow" tool. My cursor seems to stick on "orbit" tool and will not allow me to return to arrow mode until I leave 3D view and return to it again.

Anyone else having this issue or could help me out at all?

Thanks.

If you don't like clicking, one "Esc" should get you out of the orbit mode.

rather than switch to orbit mode, just hold down SHIFT - this temporarily enables orbit mode. release SHIFT and you're back to editing mode.

Or click on the Orbit icon again, toggles it off.

Is it just shift on a Mac? On a PC, it's shift + holding scroll wheel down.

Cheers,

Shift and scroll button down on Mac for orbit. And Scroll button down by itself is pan.

Thanks for bringing these to my attention, fellas.

And double click mouse wheel to zoom extents (but that works in any window).

Cheers,

That sounds cool, but I'm not getting it on the Mac. I tried Mighty and regular mice. Anybody else?

it's never worked on the mac - it's always been a windows-only feature.
