Arrow tool in 3D mode (stuck on Orbit)

Anonymous
Not applicable
When I am viewing my model in 3d it initally opens with the cursor as the "arrow" tool. This works fine and I can select and delete or modify parts of my building as normal. I can also then switch to "orbit" and rotate around my building. The problem comes when I try to return to the "arrow" tool. My cursor seems to stick on "orbit" tool and will not allow me to return to arrow mode until I leave 3D view and return to it again.

Anyone else having this issue or could help me out at all?

Thanks.

Is it just shift on a Mac? On a PC, it's shift + holding scroll wheel down.
to invoke it it's just SHIFT fellas. the scroll wheel button is the orbit function, just as the left-button is the orbit function when the orbit command is fully invoked. just semantics.

And I thought the shift tool merely toggles to arrow tool temporarily while another tool is active.

you're thinking of all the other times you hold the SHIFT key.

Maybe we'll have to submit a bug report and have GS re-word the Keyboard Shortcut list then?
