Fonts changed to WingDings

Hi guys... I noticed there were other threads regarding this, but no answers...

An office of 3 ppl all using 8.1 R2 (2284), a whole bunch of files are now displaying WingDings where they should be showing Arial..

This is a real hassle as most of these files have about 40 different elevations, so it means changing every elevation individually...

What is causing this problem?

Is there a way to fix this?
- I have heard this has to do with font indexing... can that be set back to origional?
- Is there a way to select every text (including elevations, details) and changet it all in one go?

You don't mention if you are on Windows or Mac OS. I have had some font problems in Windows, but never as extreme as what you describe. It seems like some kind of indexing or internal font name problem.

Graphisoft might be able to help you out if you send them the file. I am guessing they might be able to globally reset all font references to Arial.

Do any API masters know any quick tricks for this? Tom? Karl?

Hey! I just had a thought.

What happens if you take Wingdings out of your fonts folder? I would expect it to default to an alpha font at least.

I'm having the same problem. I try a PC format, new installation of AC and everything works fine for almost a month. Now the problem is back. I don't know if is because the other PC's wasn't formatted or AC reinstalled. But is make me crazy. I convert the plp to pln and to plp again but the problem still there. HELP!

Hey Jordje, you must be able to get someone at GS to look into this right?
