License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Hotfix 6 error - not writable?

Anonymous

When I try to install the Hotfix 6 on archicad17 I get an error message saying "Applications/Graphisoft/ArchiCAD 17 is not writable"

Any idea why this might be?

Your operating system or some other installed utility program does not allow you to write into that folder.
You should check the permission setting for that folder (or sometimes its parent folder?).

It doesn't seem to be a permissions error - the folders and parent foldsrs say 'read and write' We have 4 computers of same spec running this software. 2 of us have updated successfully and 2 have not!? Mysterious...

I have a new error message - it now states that

'ArchiCAD 17 Hotfix #6 cannot access one or more files/forders in Macintosh HD:Applications:GRAPHISOFT:ArchiCAD 17.'

Unfortunately, it's still coming up with the error message. I've run repair disk permissions on the drive...

select the folder and use "Command+i" and edit the permissions so that you can read and write. Check in the gear icon and select apply to all.

Hi - many thanks. That has done the trick!

They had said Read & Write previously, but applying it to the whole folder was what solved it. Thank you!
