Logitech Mousewheel Scroll Zoom Problem in AC10?

Anonymous
Not applicable
I am having a terrible time with Scroll ZOom on my Logitech Mice since I started using AC10.
Using Logitech Setpoint 2.60 and Driver.
Scrolls and Pans at the same time, bogs down and software freezes while the pan/ zoom battle it out (10- 20 seconds). If I remove the driver works great.
With the driver installed works great in AC9.

Anyone else?

Considering switching to microsoft mouse as scroll-zoom feature is absolutely unusable for me right now.

Thanks

Logitech SetPoint software is a piece of c**p - tried 3 different versions, I bought a bluetooth mouse and I could not stand the scrooll behaviour in AC11, so the natural solution is to use the OS drivers - loosing 2 additional buttons but no scrooll problems.

From another post, both solve the scroll-zoom problem without loosing functionality.

________

Instead of using the Logitech Drivers, which have the reputation of causing problems in OS X, I have been using Steermouse

Another option is using USB overdrive

USB Overdrive is shareware while Steermouse cost $20US. I have run them on PPC and Intel without any problems

Hello everyone,
I have Razer Copperhead and have same problem where using wheel to zoom it zooms and pans in same time. I have never had any problems but then I installed Logitech keyboard and thats when trouble started. I contacted Logitech and let them know that this is not issue with GS and that Setpoint is creating this problem but technician said that it is not a common thing. If only he could read our posts here.
For matter to be even worse only workaround is using CTRL, all other workarounds are not working.

Hi,

I don't know what is the status of the problem on Mac but I recently bought MX Revolution and I faced again this problem, but because of the nature of the wheel in Revolution turning off the SetPoint was not an option. I contacted with support explained a situation, and after several messages I was provided with new version of SetPoint (4.60.122) that solved a problem. Now I have SetPoint on and everything works fine. And MX Revolution? Awesome .

The problem with the Mac is that the software is designed to hook as a kernel extension / Haxie. This causes the OS to become unstable and sometimes it corrupts the system, as it happened to some users when they upgraded from 10.4 to 10.5. And sometimes when they run a system update.
