Missing Complex Wall Separator Lines

Hello friends,
In the attached image the settings are the same for each Complex Wall. The only difference is that one was custom made from a fill and the other is a standard Complex Wall Profile that came with AC10. Please note that the separator lines are missing from the custom created profile. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Scott

Creating the complex profile elements can be, well, complex. I am still getting used to all the various possibilities, so I don't have a quick answer for you. I am having no trouble getting the separator lines to show up, etc. Try fooling around with the editor. The "Profile Uniform Colors" might do the trick for you. Use the "Override" button to apply the settings.

Matthew,
Thanks for the thoughts. I have tried all your suggestions still without luck. Have you tried making a custom profile complex wall from fills, and have the separation lines display properly in plan view? I'm leaning toward bug as there also seem to be some strange things in the complex wall settings DB. Please see attached.
Thanks again,
Scott

Have you played with all of your plan view controls? Projected, symbolic etc and looked at your cut plane?

I think Mike is right. The plan view controls for the wall are the key. Unfortunately, the possibilities are almost endless which makes the whole process of making your plan view look "correct" a huge chore in AC 10.

In addition, the elevation of your wall relative to the cut plane has an effect on the way these plan view controls work. It quickly becomes very confusing.

Eric,
Excellent info. In my test profiles with 'Projected w. Overhead' and 'Show Entire Element' selected, the plan display properly shows the cut portion of the wall, and some but not all of the projected lines down, but does not show any overhead lines above. Also note the irregularities in my screenshot of the Wall Settings DB from an earlier post.

Yes, in every possible combo.

Please see attached example of settings and resulting unexpected display.

Thanks again guys,
Scott

Place a check in all boxes that say "apply structure's settings" and see if that helps.

I'm sort of guessing here, after going through this myself last week. You could post a module file of the complex profile wall and I could take a look at it.

Eric,
Thanks for your help. I have tried the Apply Structures Settings checkboxes, which doesn't help with the missing projected outline display lines. I'm sorry but could you please explain how to upload a MOD file as I haven't uploaded here before.
Thanks,
Scott

To make a module file:

1. Select your complex profile
2. Copy it to the clipboard (CTRL-C)
3. From the File Menu choose Save As, and select Module File from Clipboard as the file format (.mod)

I don't know that I've tried this with a complex profile before, but I should be able to simply merge it into a file and have the same profile.

Thanks again Eric. Attached is a Module file of the test Complex Wall which does not display all the projected lines below the Wall Cut line. At your convenience, please let me know if you can repeat the problem.
