License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Need "Help" help

My Help button at the top bar drops down a list of help items, but the archiCADhelp button is not active. So, I cannot get the Help index or search function.
Has anyone else had this problem? What to do?

You have to have Internet access and be on line. The Help is fully Web based.

Aaargh

Then ... I am shooting in the dark - the problem can be Web based in the sense that a browser is not defined?

Or the Help files are not installed?

My system is always on line. I have over a dozen active buttons on the drop-down list, but "archiCAD Help" is greyed out and not active.

Check your computer.... just because it opens in a Web Browser does not mean it's on the Internet.

Yes, there is a duplicate of the Help online, but I've never heard of Archicad actually referencing that itself.

I suppose it's possible they added the link in somehow, but why for some people and not others?

My Archicad help opens a browser pointed to
file:///Applications/Graphisoft/ArchiCAD%2010/Help/Files/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm

I appreciate your help guys.
Tom, when I click on the URL you posted, my MS Explorer tells me it cannot find it. I have confirmed that I am connected to the internet.

I should have mentioned that I am using AC10 with Windows xp.
I re-loaded the program for "repair", but that did nothing new.

It wouldn't. Archicad is installed in a different location on a Mac.

My point was more that it was a file:// not a http://, indicating that the help was opening a local file.

Try this one:

C:\Program Files\Graphisoft\ArchiCAD 10\Help\ArchiCAD Help.htm
