Problem with JAVA upon installation

I am constantly running to a failure upon intalling ArchiCAD 10. At the beginning of the proces, Install Shield is looking for intalled Java and I get an error:

Java Virtual Machine is not correctly installed. Install from ArchiCAD CD restart and try again (or something like this).

I have done that several times, downloaded latest java from Sun, and still no success.

Any ideas?

I once had problems with Java.
It turned out that over the months I installed several new versions and updates of Java but did not uninstall previous installations before doing so.
In the Add and Remove Programs Dialog (accessible from the Control Panel) I could see there were three different version still installed. I guess their settings got mixed up. I uninstalled all versions, then installed the latest and that sorted out the problem.
I don't know if this is the same case, but I wrote it down for you FWIW (For What It Is Worth).

I have unintalled java from control panel several times now, reebooting and trying again, but no luck. Not to mention, that AC9 is installing OK. It is happening only on two sistems, others works fine.

Odd enough, on one computer started to work. I didnt do anything since last posting, but it just works. Saddly, the other one still doesnt. Maybe I should give him a little vacation.

Thanks anyway Laszlonagy.
