I emailed Graphisoft Support about this topic earlier this morning. Here's the reply that I received. I hope this helps! - Jeff

This should be no problem. Archicad has not supported the Quicktime file format for a number of versions now. Were you to try to install an older version of Archicad, say Archicad 15, you might be asked to install Quicktime, but the current version should be fine.

ArchiCAD 28/27/26/25 Full (back when Full used to mean Full) (latest builds). User since AC12 (2008).

I have checked this. I have uninstalled QuickTime from my Windows 7 system, restarted, then checked the various ARCHICAD versions:

ARCHICAD 19 works fine.
ARCHICAD 18 works fine.
ARCHICAD 17 works fine.
ARCHICAD 16 works fine.
ARCHICAD 15 works fine.
ARCHICAD 14 does not starts without QuickTime 7.5.5 or later installed.
ARCHICAD 13 does not starts without QuickTime 7.5.5 or later installed.

So it seems ARCHICAD versions 15 and later will operate just fine without QuickTime. Older versions should be upgraded to the latest version anyway because of all the added features.
