Im having this bug where I cannot save a file using AC 25 or 26. AC 24 works.
The save as dialog is bugged, and cannot be resized, or mouse clicked. The save option is greyed out. Its also not possible to see the name input field of the dialog.
*Ventura 13.4
I know that this was an old bug with a previous update - but why does this persist? As you can imagine, its quite an annoying bug.
Ive tried reinstaling both programs and applying the updates anew, to no avail.
Ant tips/input?

For anyone encountering this in the future, what seems to have worked is to use the shortcuts for "save as" (option + command + s). Thanks to a reddit user for pointing this out.
For some weird reason, by using the shortcut to open the save as dialog box in AC26 as opposed to mouse clicking "File" then "Save As", the shortcut seems to have unstuck the save dialog in BOTH AC26 and AC25 at the same time. Now it works in both programs.
Weird, but ill take it.

Aaand the bug is back... Using the shortcut to save might have unstuck the save dialog only temporarily. Also, there could have been a confounding variable to this, as I was using archicad via VPN yesturday. Though I did try it now at the office, using the same VPN (that we use to acess the license server for remote work) - but to no avail.

I just installed AC 27 on a new MacBook Pro and ran into the above bug. I can't believe this has been an issue through 3 major releases! I just installed the latest update 27.3.0 and no change. I haven't tried to Save As a PLN yet but ran into the non-responsive dialogue box when I was prompted to save a render. Has anyone found a workaround to this? My colleague is on an M1 and doesn't have this happen..

I know nothing about Macs, and this may have absolutely nothing to do with the problem, but in Windows OS we can scale the screen.
Are you doing something similar to that in Mac OS?
Archicad does not seem to like screen scaling very much.
Barry.

Hi Barry and thanks for the quick reply! There are options to scale things in the OS but I have left things stock because it seems to negatively affect text clarity in my experience.
I am happy to report that I did manage to solve my problem though! I noticed that Martin's screenshot looked almost identical to mine and that it was showing the simplified file dialogue you always get in a new application until you click the button next to the folder pull-down. I always do this and then MacOS doesn't offer you the simplified dialogue in future. As I said above, the save dialogue is entirely unresponsive in Archicad so you can't do that within the app. I've been tweaking the OS settings in a separate app called TinkerTool (recommend!) and low and behold there is a toggle to 'Prefer expanded Save dialogs when using new applications'.
After a restart all is well! The app says you only need to log out and back in again though..
