Skylites Not Cutting it

Whenever I use the Skylite tool, whether in v8 or v8.1, with different roof thicknesses and/or angles, I see the bottom of the frame of the skylite underneath the roof, but it doesn't cut thru the roof, as advertised..

skylight is not dependent to roof angle or thickness. even after you place a skylight and change the thickness of the roof ,the skylight will cut it automatically. may be you have two roofs in one level?

Have to check it, but there is a minimal slope below which the skylites do not cut. What is your roof slope?

You actually measure your roofs by percent of slope?
