My XP Pro was a lot faster to start up.

but what about your WIBU drivers? they need to be mactel to speed the startup. the latest mactel release (5.20) are up on WIBU's site here:

Just checked. 15 seconds to Start ArchiCAD window from first start of the day. About 3 seconds on subsequent starts.
