Have you seen this????
I'm using an iMac + leopard+ATI,RadeonHD2600 with 256Mb.
I had this problem in AC11, and With AC12.

Already discussed in different threads, apparently is an OS X + ATi card problem. Search for shatter. There was hope that 10.5.5 would fix it but apparently it didn't.
