You can maximize the window and next time you open the file, set the set up work environment to last profile used instead of default profile..

Thank you for the advise Lukas, I have gone into OPTIONS, WORK ENVIRONMENT, but the dialogue box does not show SET UP WORK ENVIRONMENT, and it does not have a drop down box with Last Profile Used, all it shows is Expert 9, Novice 9 or Standard 9.

When you start AC, before you even get all your tools and libraries loaded, you get a dialog box where you get to choose which file to open. That's where you chose to open the selected file with the last profile used.(there is a drop down menu at the bottom of this dialog box) If the last time you saved your file was with a maximized window, it should open with a maximized window again.

When I start AC the opening dialog box is always set to last profile used but I still get a window different in size from when I closed AC. I can not understand why. ? I have reset it again this morning to last profile used just to make sure, and it has done the same as yesturday, about 70% window.
