Since I use 8.1, I experienced some problems.
If the base point is out of the object (wall, object, stair) that I want to move. copy etc., the object will deselect automatically. If the base point is on the object, wall, slab, then the commands work.
This doesn't happen always, but quite often and it's very annoying.
If I restart the program everything works again.
Is it a bug ?
I experienced this problem both on a commerical version as well as on a edu version.

Funny thing, I thought I was the only one. No one else in the office seems to have this problem but me. On top of Ctrl * I also have to hit the F1 key (I have it set for zoom in) a couple of times before it responds. Thought it could be the keyboard, changed that, same problem. This only happens sometimes and most often when I'm working on relatively large files. I also have to shut down which becomes very time consuming when you have 3 or 4 large libraries to load.
