Hi

What the licensing regs for Archicad if I want to buy a copy from abroad? Am I obliged to purchase through my countries reseller?

thanks

You should probably ask your reseller about it, because there are issues of support and future upgradeability so it is best to be safe and ask them.

Thank you for your reply laszlonagy, I apprectiate that there might be issues with support. But I would just like to know what the legal issues are for buying Archicad from a foreign country, or transporting to use in another country.

Specificly, can I purchase Archicad (international for example) from a foreign country and use it for professional purposes without breaking licensing laws.

Honestly, I don't know.
I have gone through the license agreement but there is nothing written in it about this specifically.
I know that various settings and the Library will be different if you buy the INT version. Many fundamental library parts are coming from the ArchiCAD.dll file and not the library so you will not be able to change those even if you use the French library with it.
So it would still probably be the best to ask your reseller, if no one else on this Forum know the answer.
