hovering curser over object or line In 2D Just spins

Hi All! I hope someone has a fix for this. I am using Archicad 11 on a new Lenovo Thinkpad (and this also happened on my old desktop with Archicad 11 as well). When I hover the curser over a wall or line or any other object in 2D, it shows the spinning circle, and won’t select....like its thinking or saving or something. When I do a restart it sometimes will work normally for a while, but then will start doing the spinning circle/won’t select again.

Help!

Sorry, did I got this right?
You somehow managed to install Archicad 11 (ELEVEN) on a brand new notebook? Or was this meant to be 21?

Maybe you can add a signature?

Hi!
Yes I did load 11. I have it on disk with the key..used a separate disk drive to do it.

What operating system are you running.
I think 11 was lucky if it ran properly on Window 7.

Maybe you can set the compatibility option for the program.
Right click on the Archicad.exe program file and choose 'Properties'.
Go to 'Compatibility' and set it for Windows 7.

No idea if it will work.
It might just be a problem you have running a 13 year old program on a new system.
