AC20 - What happened to User Defined fields?

As per heading, what has happened to the User Defined fields in the Window / Door descriptions?

I had a bunch of AC19 door/window favourites set up with info specifically in the User Defined fields but I see in AC20 it is no longer an option under door/window objects.

Could I somehow bring back that info or am going to have to move my info over to IFC properties?

I think what happened is Properties were introduced in ARCHICAD 20 and those take the place of these custom parameters. They are a more general solution and a Property will be available for all Doors or Windows, not only the Doors or Windows where such a parameter exists.
So I guess the GDL developers have removed these "User Defined 1... 5" parameters to remove the redundancy.
So you should not use IFC Properties for this in the future, you should define Properties for this purpose.

Ah ok that makes sense, haven't had a chance to work with the Properties feature yet but looks pretty great, thanks for the feedback
