Hi,
I am in the process of updating our template file to Archicad 28 and like most Archicad users experienced grief with the new Global Library. One thing I could not locate into the new Library Packages are the Accessory Elements like gutters, downspouts, etc. Tried coping them into 28 without success. I used to use them a lot and unfortunatelly could not find an alternative so far...
Operating system used: Windows

Check if you get RoofConstruction.libpack It is loaded automatically with the default template for Ac28 INT.

Go ahead and verify the libpack is loaded like Ricardo is suggesting.
For me, when I load the default USA version of the AC28 USA Template.tpl file, all my necessary library packs are loaded. In it you will find that the objects you are looking for are now located in the Object Library/22 Plumbing/22 10 00 Plumbing, Piping and Pumps/Gutters
Like Ricardo is also suggesting, if you can't find something, use the search feature at the top of the menu, type in what you're looking for and it should come up. However, like you're worried about not finding the gutters, not all library parts got transferred over to AC28, so using the search feature is a good tool to have. Just keep in mind that the tools are not all named the same way and a lot of them have been placed in different locations then they were before.
Happy hunting!

I think you will find the accessories library pack is in a different location to the global libraries when you install the goodies add-ons.
Make sure you load this accessories library pack as well (do not load the folder it is in, you must load the actual library pack).

Hi Barry,
Thank you very much! I think that was it ! It is very strange that they miss to add the Accessory Elements to the Library Pack folder. I missed because we have a template file that I open in every new version of ArchiCAD and I had to manually link all the libraries from the Library Package folder, but did not look outside of it. The Global Library is such a mess !

Could someone kindly walk me through the steps to load accessory libraries into Archicad 28 Teamwork? I’d love to get wall coverings like board and batten, but I’m having a bit of trouble figuring it out, even after reading the comments. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
I been using ArchiCAD for 15 years, but I don't understand what changed for accessories libraries in 28.

The only thing that has changed in 28 with the global libraries, is you now have to load each library pack, rather than the folder that the libraries belong to.
I am not sure how it works with teamwork, as I don't use it.
But it would be the same, you will have to load the accessory library pack, not the accessory library folder.
Barry.

This should be addressed. Loading libpack into Teamwork shows up as a non valid format, thus not loading proprely into the work file.
The workaround I managed was
Note: In my case I had to embbed the whole libpack into the embbeded library of the local file including textures and addicional elements. Only then all of the objects it would display complete 2D and 3D representations.

Just a small consideration:
If you are working in a Teamwork project, and there are many files in the Embedded Library, I would say the better practice is to save the contents of the whole Embedded Library to a folder, upload it to the BIMcloud server and add that BIMcloud folder in the Library Manager to your project. This way, the contents of the Embedded Library will not increase the size of your Project File. This can be useful in larger projects.
