Archicad Vehicle Objects

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a 3rd party gsm. format Vehicle object for our concept modelling. I find Cadimages' ones are very subpar and not that nice. We currently have a Land Cruiser which I think we brought over from when we used SketchUp but looking for something else.

Does anyone know where I might be able to download something? Ideally some sort of European car / SUV / hatchack.

Thanks heaps.

How much detail do you need for a concept model?

Are the ones in the default Archicad library not good enough?

But if you don't like the Central Innovation ones, you won't like these.

You will have to look at 3D model websites that will be in different file formats and then convert them into Archicad.

Hi,

What do you want to use it for exactly?

Do you want a good 3D representation for Visuals?

Because then I would suggest searching for good 3D models in any model warehouse website (like the sketchup warehouse). You should be able to import most formats (Sketchups and 3D studio max for sure, but plenty of other popular formats as well). Just be aware that if it is a very detailed model, it might look good in 3D, but it will mroe than likely grind Archicad to a halt.

If you need some good cars for plans/sections, then I think the best way is to just sketch it for yourself using the 2D tools, and save them as Archicad objects.
