There exists a BIM Components.com showing Library Parts.
I have been able to select and download LCF files, however, is there anyway to select and download a given Object from these LCF files

I moved this post to the 'Libraries' section as it is nothing to do with BIMx.

Some (many) of the object in BIMComponents contain all the necessary macros needed for that object or may even be a suite of objects (with macros), so it makes it easier to download a single LCF file rather than multiple files.
As a user you don't have the choice - you just get the download.
However you can expand (extract) and LCF file to get access to the individual files.
