Bottom rail continuing through inner posts

Good morning!

I am having trouble with the bottom rail of my railing. I have two inner posts and the rail is continuing through the posts. I would like the rail to be restricted to the section with the panel in it - so not between the two posts.

I am working in Archicad 26.

Thank you!

I had a similar problem in the past. See this post.

I am not sure the Solid Element Operation trick will work in this case as there is not top or bottom to the post above or below the gap.

So a small flat joining piece would have to be added to the top of the custom post (it will hide under the top rail) and then it could SEO with downward extrusion.

PS I edited the link in your post as it didn't work.

Also it would need to be a custom post as in rgarand's example.

A custom post with a joining plate at the top.

Two inner post will not be able to cut the gap in the middle.

Unless that is created as a separate rail between those post.

Then you can go into 'Edit' mode, select the rial between the posts and delete it.

But if it is all one rail, then a custom double post with the plate at the top and SEO (downward) will fix it.

Thank you! I think something along those lines will work!

Between this and rgarand's input I think I can get it to work. Thank you!
