Can I create a custom trim profile and use that for door trim in the Door tool?

Not unless the door objects are scripted to allow the use of custom profiles.
I doubt any of the default GS door objects allow this.

The default GS doors are not scripted to use Complex Profiles . I think there is a wish somewhere for it.
Not quite the same utilisation, but it is to do with doors andComplex Profiles .
