A great (new??) method is to model just the door panel itself w/slabs as Link mentioned, ie: no frame, trim etc... and save it as a library part. Then using the AC Garage door from the incl. library, choose "custom panel" in the object settings and type the name of the part you just made - tip: it must be in a loaded library! By doing it this way you can take advantage of all the variables in the existing AC part - frame, trim etc... Make sure, when you model your part to use slabs of different materials if you need to, ie: use a slab of "glass" for the windows, "wood" for wood etc... Hope this was clear enough. It's really a great, EASY way to make custom panels. I don't know how long this method has been around, but I discovered it recently.
Hope this helps,
Tom

1. Right click on the door 206 (on the web page) and choose Save Image As...
2. In ArchiCAD choose File/Merge and merge in the image
3. Trace the door ans save as described by Link and Tom Dabney

Although in Australia there's an alternative to this that I shan't repeat here.

You can make any door out of slabs mate. When saving it as a library part, be sure to make it a door sub-type and if it's an unusual shape, be sure to give the slab that makes the boundary an ID of 'wallhole'.

I just got around to trying this method, but when I chose the custom panel, the center of my panel is placed at the edge of the door. I am including a screen shot of the dialog box and will post additional images in subsequent posts. Thanks for any suggestions of what I might be doing wrong.
