Problem exists in Cadimage doors and archicad doors. Is there a work around? or here is a better idea "FIX IT"

Doubt it will be changed as that would require a rescripting of every door and window as well as a new

But is there an option in the door to manually set the wall thickness?
The object is simply using the wall thickness at the anchor point - which is why using a head anchor sometimes works.
Or have a look at your complex profile.
Ensure the opening lines are set behind the skirting rather than in front of it.
I am not sure if this will make a difference or if the objects simply use the overall wall width at the anchor point.
Barry.

Hi Barry, so what doors do you use? 4D?
Originally based on the version 6.5 library (20 odd years ago).
So our doors and windows are quite simple compared to the current ones.
They don't have all the bells and whistles, but they have been amended over the years to do exactly what we want them to do.
An update on the complex profile opening lines.
It seems the objects will still look at the wall thickness at the anchor point, regardless of the opening line positions.
Setting the frame width manually works, but for me it is still moving the frame by half the width of the skirting.
That could just be a problem in my door object - we don't usually add the skirting as part of the wall.
We tend to use a wall accessory.

But with the anchor at the head of the door with auto frame width.

However I do have a knack for being able to break most tools. I decided to add a Scotia trim to the ceiling, and as you can see in the image it pushed the door frame to the edge of the Scotia trim. So half a solution. You also have to make sure the skirting is thiner than the architrave, being on the same plane causes ugly junctions.
With BIMx and Twinmotion, getting the model correct becomes more important. Critical in my view

If this is off it seems to add in a filler piece that matches the maximum wall thickness.
So it will match the scotia width or the skirting width as well regardless of how the door is anchored..
