Custom Door Leaf Problems

Anonymous
Not applicable
Has anyone had issues with Custom Door Leafs not loading in v.22? I have built the same Leaf as a combination of slabs and a morph. After going through all the steps to save it to the Embedded Library, reloading all the libraries in the library manager, and even restarting ArchiCAD it won't show up in the list for "Door Leaf Name".

On a related note, wtf Graphisoft?? why did you remove a bunch of Leaf profiles at some point between v.17 and v. 22?

Not sure if this works the same way in your library, since we have a localised version (NL), but you need to set the object subtype as 'custom door leaf' or whatever it is called in English.

The correct subtype is being used. It is odd that if I use the Save Selection As... > Door... type it will show up in the door library but there are no trim options available. For whatever reason the Door Leaf... type isn't working for me.

We have 'custom door leaf' as save as option, so it's not saved as a door.

Jason,
Just to be sure you are using this option when saving as a door leaf?

Thanks Barry, that is what I'm trying to explain too, but for me that's in Dutch and not really helpful to anyone but the 25 million people that speak the language

Hey Berry, That is the method I have been using. I had a thought maybe it was because I was using a couple of different building materials. I will play around with it today and see if I make any progress.

If that is what you are doing then it should all be working.

There was an issue we found when you 'Save As' an existing custom door leaf.

https://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=61971

But as you are not doing this, I can't see that any of this is your problem.

Maybe try in another file, especially a 'New & Reset All' file to see if it works there.

Hi,

It is probably file specific, so I think it should be fine if you do it in a brand new plan (though you should definitely try). If you still have this problem, please send me a PLA of your project (in a Private message), and point out where you have that problem (which doors, which panel objects). I will try to see what the issue might be.

I have the same issue. I am trying to save a custom door leaf and it won't appear in my project. I can do it in a new, empty PLN.
