Sounds like the "Minimal Space" settings in the "Miscellaneous Settings For Library Parts" section in the Model View Options.

Does your local Archicad distributor offer training courses?
Could be money well spent.
Or do you have access to any local user groups that may be active?
Also Google search for Archicad training.
If you want personalized training where you can ask questions, then be prepared to pay a fee.
But this is the best way to learn.
Otherwise you are stuck basically with YouTube videos, The reference guide and HelpCenter, the Learning Portal ( https://learn.graphisoft.com/visitor_class_catalog ) - mostly paid for, and of course this forum.

Have taken some of the classes and it is probably the use of the templates by others with a manual that would take a year to digest.
It is the lack of other users in the area - only one other - and non others that I have ever found and I work in 30 States
Hard to share with anyone.
Especially when you run into an issue that is something not working.
For example I have a truss that was placed at 12'
over time it has forgoten and thinks it is at 11'4 even though you measure and it is at 12'
You edit it and it corrects to 12' but then another peice is not working
No help on this is a timely manner.
With this product I created a small church building - complete model in one day. It is the details to make it a finshed product that have taken me 3 days on one issue that I cannot solve.
