Door and Window Frame to Match wall depth?

Anonymous

Hello,

I have checked the available documentation and can't seem to find where one may set a window and/or door frame depth to match a wall depth. This command or setting was mentioned in another topic on this forum.

Thanks,

Mark Hendricks

If you check in the Parameters tab the "Door Frame" option there is a control to set the frame thickness=wall thickness.
Isn't this what you are looking for?

Just addition to above post:
in Std AC library (no idea about SE lib) "frame thickness of door = wall thickness" option is ON by default.

Hi Guys,

attached is screen shot from special addition library. I don't have the option for the frame thickness. Any ideas?

Thanks,

I've noticed this one as well. Can't seem to find it on SE9 library.

Would be nice to have this feature. I am fairly new to ArchiCAD and have used the Special Edition library on all of my projects to this point. I wouldn't know if other regular ArchiCAD9 features that could save time are missing. I know it's not easy to convert a plan to use the regular library elements. Are there any side by side comparisons of features that can help new users choose which library to use?

Thanks,

The se9 library parts have more features than the standard library. I use it regularly; down side is the wall thickness feature. I'm sure there must be a setting for frame = thickness, but it's hidden pretty well.

Would I talk to Graphisoft support to find this out? I'm not sure if this library was created by third party or?

Thanks,
