Select the window and change its Floor Plan and Section display to Symbolic.
With these types of situations you have to think through the wall display (All relevant stories?) and then separately the display settings for each window and door.
I notice that if my door has a threshold the cover fill for the display will mask any window above.

I will often just turn the 2D Detail Level Off for the element I don't want to show in plan....
