Hello everyone,
I am in the process of updating all the doors in a large project to a new door model from a more recent Archicad library.
I know I can use the Find & Select tool to select all doors of a specific type, but when I simply change the door type in the Selection Settings palette, it resets all my custom parameters to the new element's defaults.
Is there a method or best practice to swap the door model while preserving all the custom data and parameters I've already defined?
My goal is to do this efficiently across the entire building without having to re-enter all the data for hundreds of doors.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Press&hold Ctrl-Alt when clicking the new door, the mouse pointer changes to the syringe.
But not every door shares all its parameters with the others...

Hi Stefan,
Thanks for the tip, I already tried that, it was my first thought.
Here is the problem
on the top the door of archicad 28
and on the bottom the old archicad 27
So i want to updated the 27 to the 28 version but keeping the parameters but the syringe update the model but not keep the parameters
Even though is the same "door"

Regarding the doors: I just tried; you need to load the missing doors first, otherwise AC reverts to the default parameters.
Regarding the facade:
Yes, there's no syringe for sub-elements; won't work for stairs, railings... too.
Depending on amount and complexity you may want to investigate in:
- save old settings as favorite
- export favs as XML
- text-edit XML to new object
- import and apply favs
Don't even know if that is possible... 🤓
