Elevation marker with arrows to point in 4 directions

We use the section elevation tool for our interior elevations. We use the elevation marker in floor plan so it looks like an interior elevation tag instead of a section marker. Some rooms are very small like toilet rooms and we need 2 arrows instead of just one. Does Archicad have an object we can choose that allows for this. We also want the tag to automatically to put the number in from plotmaker. We would aim the section elevation to the first interior elevation and then put in extra interior elevations that wouldn't show up in plan. THis way the interior elvation on the floor plan would be correct and we would just have one long interior elvation in plotmaker made up of the 2 or 3 or 4 elevations. THe ELEVATION MARKER object looks like it would work but it doesn't in version 9. ANy ideas?

Thanks,
Michele

Hey everybody,
I took the liberty to make few edits for what they are worth. Please find the new Marker downloadable with this post.

The marker is updating accordingly to the sheet number where the view map is placed @ the Layout book. You have to play with the sec/ele settings to get the desired display.

Any comments are appreciated since this is my first 20 min experience with gsm objects.

Cheers,

Markus

I wonder what you'll be doing after 20 days of experience! Great job!!! I'll try to use it better monday at work.

This object was created by Thomas Waltz, and is copyright protected. How did you get it? As I am pretty confident Thomas is not selling his custom work for KA, I am sure he will have something to say about this. (edited) - I wasn't aware you had shared this Tom, thanks for clarifying...I should have read the whole thread!!

I shared that a while back here on the forum. It was a tip of the month winner.

i've just been way behind in getting it updated for AC10, so I'm kind of glad someone else was able to.

Markus,
I put your section marker instead the other (Tom's AC9 version), and it worked the same way, wich means... I still didn't get the page number on marker. Am I, as usual, missing something? It seems the same marker to me...

Hey Patricia,

As I mentioned earlier you may have to play with the settings in AC 10. I am assuming you are missing to select the checkbox "refer to drawing" I am currently out of the office and I can't give you a better clarification. As soon as I am getting back to NYC I will give you a tad more information on that.

Thank you for pointing out copyrights and yes you are 100% right about that. As Tom wrote he published it before to the public, which gave me the reason to believe it will be ok to modify the object. This is a appeal to everybody respecting copyrights. Thank you Andyro for beeing so wary.

Thanks,

Markus

Markus and Tom,
I think the section mark doesn't like me! I did select the box you mentioned and also tried with Tom's new update... see the results....
I really don't know what I'm doing wrong this time.
Thank you anyway.

Are you familiar with how the object's keying system works?

In order to prevent 4 instances of text, I added a system so that only the first elevation in the sequence gets the sheet & number text. The first one in the sequence is determined by a parameter under "Use Autoletter" called Elevation "key"

The default is "A". You should probably change it to "1"

BTW, I just realized a mistake I make and re-uploaded the object. You should grab the latest update so you have pen control.

Tom,

I know nothing about GDL (yet, I shall say!) , but I opened the object and changed the "A" to "1" as you suggested... Nothing happened... but nevermind. Maybe when I have to deliver this project I will already know what to do, hopefully...
Thank you all again.
